SUMMARY OF TODAY’S TRADING

(29/03/2010)

It was really a good of trading in the NIFTY as it has reached to a new one year high. Now it is about to trade in a range of 5100 – 5500. This is purely a bullish trend and one can buy in the dips to see a short term gains. Though it is trading fine, the volume which traded is really a matter to worry. So, we should be meticulously trading in the market. If it continuous like today, Sensex may reach 20000 points well before the last week of April 2010.

Sensex closed at 17711, up by 66 points and Nifty at 5302, up by 20 points from its previous close. CNX MIDCAP was up by 0.14% and BSE SMALLCAP INDEX was down by 0.44%. The market breadth was almost negative with advances at 452 against declines of 826 on the NSE.

Today’s top NIFTY gainers are BPCL, HINDALCO and MARUTI and losers are Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services and Tata Motors.

Today’s top SENSEX gainers are LIC HOUSING FINANCE, GLENMARK PHARMA and NESTLE INDIA and losers are Mahindra & Mahindra, NMDC Ltd., and Torrent Power Ltd.

SUMMARY OF TODAY’S TRADING

(23/03/2010)

This day has shown a lot of lethargic movement during the market hours. This was mainly because of the Global Cues. Our market has opened fine and was looking to go up but it could not. Since it was maintaining a sideways movement for a week and more, this needs to have a huge support from US and European Market to go to the next level of trading. Ours is absolutely not heedful to Asian Markets because it has got opened in the green and bounced back to red and there was a lot of volatility and in the end it was managed to close in the green in the flat note. Tomorrow it was going to be a holiday for the market on the occasion of Ram Navmi and Thursday is going to be an F&O expiry. So we may expect some rally or big volatility on 25/03/2010.

Sensex closed at 17451, up by 40 points and Nifty at 5225, up by 20 points from its previous close. CNX MIDCAP was up by 0.6% and BSE SMALLCAP INDEX was up by 0.3%. The market breadth was almost negative with advances at 613 against declines of 642 on the NSE.

Today’s top NIFTY gainers are CAIRN INDIA, HDFC BANK and JINDAL STEEL & POWER and losers are Idea Cellular Ltd, Bharti Airtel and Tata Motors.

Today’s top SENSEX gainers are AREVA T&D, LANCO INFRATECH LTD & CADILA HEALTHCARE and losers are NMDC Ltd., Idea Cellular Ltd and Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd

SUMMARY OF TODAY’S TRADING (05/03/2010)

This is the second consecutive day that our market has seen a big rally after the Union Budget and yesterday NIFTY has closed above 5017 points mark since January 2010. It is purely because of the Global Markets uptrend reflected in our market and made that to close even in the high note. This raise is absolutely not because of the General Budget. Because it has nothing to follow by the markets. According to the market Analysts, it is sure that we are in bullish trend but please remember that it is not without a big correction. Today’s rally took place mainly because of POWER and BANK, CAPITAL and AUTO Sectors, Realty Sector is still under pressure. There was a good buying in the MIDCAPS and SMALLCAPS.

Sensex closed at 17000 up by 227 points and Nifty 5088 up by 71 points. CNX MIDCAP INDEX was up 1.83% and BSE SMALLCAP INDEX was up 1.29%. The market breadth was totally positive advances at 983 against declines of 290 on the NSE.

Todays’ top NIFTY gainers are JAIPRAKASH ASSOCIATES LTD, RIL and TATA POWER and losers are Ranbaxy, Ambuja Cements and Maruti Udyog Ltd.

Today’s SENSEX gainers are INDIABULLS FINANCE SERVICES, JET AIRWAYS and JAIPRAKASH ASSOCIATES LTD losers are Shriram Finance, Chambal Fertilizers and Bank of Baroda.
