SUMMARY OF TODAY’S TRADING (29/09/2010)

There was a gap up opening in the beginning hours of the trade. But, it slipped into red immediately after seeing a strong sell off in the METALS, POWERS, REALTY AND FMCG SECTORS.

As we have already said that we may expect to see some volatility tomorrow and hope that short covering positions will lead to close in the green. Please allow markets to settle down first and then you take a decision to initiate your trading.

Though Asian Markets have closed in the green today that did not make any impact in our markets. At the same time, Europe Markets have ended up in the red as a result US markets are currently trading in the Red.

As per the Experts, there is no need to worry about our market as it has breached the significant Support Level of 6000 in the NIFTY because you may decide on this tomorrow after market hours if you really hold on something in your DP account.

SENSEX closed at 19956 down by 148 points and NIFTY closed at 5991 down by 38 points from its previous close. CNX MIDCAP INDEX was up by 0.70% and BSE SMALLCAP INDEX was up by 0.50%. The Market breadth was negative with the advances of 380 against the declines of 897 on the NATIONAL STOCK EXCHANGE.

Today’s top NIFTY gainers are TATA MOTORS LTD, POWER GRID CORPORATION LTD and SUN PHARMA and losers are Sterlite Industries Ltd, ONGC and ITC.

Today’s top SENSEX gainers are GLAXOSMITHKLINE, ALSTOM PROJECT, LANCO INFRATECH and losers are Sterlite Industries Ltd, IVRCL Infrastructure Ltd and Hind Zinc Ltd.

SUMMARY OF TODAY’S TRADING (28/09/2010)

This day has witnessed a full of volatility till the last minute of the actual market close. Earlier, it has slipped into red straightaway as there was no good sign in the US and Europe Markets yesterday and hence Asian Markets too followed them today without any surprise.

But last trading hours in our markets is the real good session to recover almost 150 points from the actual loss. This has taken place because of little strong buying interest shown in the POWER, CAPITAL GOODS and METALS (stock specific). Today Asian Markets traded so quietly and ended in red. Similarly Europe Markets have followed Asian Markets and currently American markets too.

We may expect for similar volatility tomorrow also and we look forward to close in the green at the end of the market hour on account of F & O Expiry by very next day because short coverings will be taken place on 30/09/2010. So there is no need to panic if you are already holding any long positions.

SENSEX closed at 20104 down by 12 points and NIFTY closed at 6029 down by 6 points from its previous close. CNX MIDCAP INDEX was up by 0.13% and BSE SMALLCAP INDEX was up by 0.03%. The Market breadth was negative with the advances of 537 against the declines of 730 on the NATIONAL STOCK EXCHANGE.

Today’s top NIFTY gainers are ABB LTD, SIEMENS LTD and RELIANCE INFRASTRUCTURE LTD and losers are Idea Cellular Ltd, HDFC, and IDFC.

Today’s top SENSEX gainers are ABB LTD, SINTEX INDUSTRIES LTD and FEDERAL BANK LTD and losers are Koutons Retail India, Idea Cellular Ltd and Dr.Reddys Laboratories Ltd.
