FORECAST: Our Market seems to be loosing the grip from its latest gains. When there is no play by Foreign Institutional Investors (FII), we must be very careful. From our point of view, Markets may go down further upto 5300.

NIFTY Range: S1 – 5400, S2 – 5370, R1 – 5500 & R2 – 5520.

SENSEX got closed today at 18212 down by 295 points and NIFTY closed at 5459 down by 88 from its previous close.

There was a high level volatility in the market today. Because 2G Spectrum row R Com shares have been thrown out. In view of that all the stocks which were in the oscillation have been gone down and recovered very slightly. METALS and BANKS have performed little good.

Forecast : Temporary Correction is almost concluded. We may see some strong upward movement tomorrow.

Sensex Shut shop at 19931 up by 66 points and NIFTY 5999 up 10 points.

SUMMARY OF TODAY’S TRADING (23/08/2010)

It is a flat close for our market following the poor performance by the Global Markets. But, it is looking nice to note that NIFTY is stayed above 5540. There was a selective stockwise upward movement seen because of the hesitation in the buying.

CAPITAL GOODS, PHARMACEUTICALS AND TELECOM SECTORS have helped our market to close flat in green. Tomorrow we may expect to see some play in the Metals as well as Infrastructure Sectors.

SENSEX closed at 18409 up by 8 points and NIFTY closed at 5543 up by 12 points from its previous close. CNX MIDCAP INDEX was up by 0.80% and BSE SMALLCAP INDEX was up by 0.90%. The Market breadth was positive with the advances of 793 against the declines of 489 on the NATIONAL STOCK EXCHANGE.

Today’s top NIFTY gainers are BPCL, JINDAL STEEL & POWER LTD and CIPLA LTD and losers are JP Associates Ltd., Reliance Infrastructure Ltd and HDFC Bank.

Today’s top SENSEX gainers are BHARAT PETROLEUM, VIDEOCON INDUSTRIES LTD and ISPAT INDSUTRIES LTD and losers are RIL, UBI and ITC Ltd.,
