SUMMARY OF TODAY’S TRADING (13/10/2010)

Today our market performed exceptionally well claiming 484 points because of the buying interest shown in the IT Sectors, Realty and FMCG Sectors. At present, this rally may continue till Nifty reaches 6300 and then we may expect to see some profit booking.

SENSEX closed at 20687 up by 484 points and NIFTY closed at 6233 up by 142 points from its previous close. CNX MIDCAP INDEX was up 1.12% and BSE SMALLCAP INDEX was up by 1.08%. The Market breadth was positive with the advances of 921 points against the declines of 369 points on the NATIONAL STOCK EXCHANGE.

Today’s top NSE gainers are TCS, HDFC and WIPRO LTD and losers are NTPC, Cipla and Mundra Port.

Today’s top BSE gainers are VIJAYA BANK, SYNDICATE BANK and PETRONET LNG and losers are Exide Industries Ltd, Mundra Port and Shriram Trans.

SUMMARY OF TODAY’S TRADING (17/08/2010)

This day has witnessed a flat closing in the green first and finally in the red. This has happened due to huge profit booking in the last session of the trading hours. Sell off took place in the METAL SECTORS, IT, REALTY and ofcourse in the FINANCE SECTORS.

In the meantime, European Markets have opened nicely and traded firmly and without any doubt extended its support to our markets but ours has failed to take the momentum going up.

It is also very important to note that SENSEX has settled above 18000 mark as well as NIFTY above 5450 level.

SENSEX closed at 18048 down by 2 points and NIFTY closed at 5414 down by 4 points from its previous close. CNX MIDCAP INDEX was up by 0.39% and BSE SMALLCAP INDEX down 0.29%. The Market breadth was almost negative with advances of 619 against the declines of 659 on the NATIONAL STOCK EXCHANGE.

Today’s top NIFTY gainers are BPCL, HINDALCO AND RANBAXY and losers are Suzlan Energy Ltd., Idea Cellular Ltd and HUL.

Today’s top SENSEX gainers are Syndicate Bank, India Infoline and Bank of Baroda and losers are Hind Construction Co., Mphasis Ltd & Educomp Solutions Ltd.,
