SUMMARY OF TODAY’S TRADING (27/09/2010)

This is once again a good sign to see our markets closed in the green ahead of F & O expiry. Reason for today’s positive closing is strong buying in the METALS, OIL & GAS, REALTY, and CONSUMER DURABLES. But there was a strong sell off took place in the IT Sectors that drove our market down and hence we were happened to see volatility. Moreover, our market did not get any support from Global Markets today as it was very quiet.

SENSEX closed at 200117 up by 72 points and NIFTY closed at 6035 up by 17 points from its previous close. CNX MIDCAP INDEX was up by 0.30% and BSE SMALLCAP INDEX was up by 0.10%. The Market breadth was positive with the advances of 600 against the declines of 665 on the NATIONAL STOCK EXCHANGE.

Today’s top NIFTY gainers are ABB LTD,STERLITE INDUSTRIES LTD and HINDALCO LTD and losers are HDFC, HUL and Suzlon Energy Ltd.

Today’s top SENSEX gainers are INDIA INFOLINE, STERLITE BIOTECH LTD and VIDEOCON INDUSTRIES LTD and losers are M&M Fin Services, Koutons Retails Ltd and Corporation Bank.

SUMMARY OF TODAY’S TRADING (23/09/2010)

This is a second straight day for our markets to close in the red. Its a confirmation that it is trying to take a U-TURN hereafter as it has already gone abnormally high so far. Most importantly, there is no news in our market to define its direction and hence it is functioning based on the Global Markets decision. There was a stock wise downtrend in the Real Estate, Metals and Telecom Sectors.

If NIFTY breaks 5950 marks tomorrow, you may expect to go down upto 5870. So going long anymore must be averted as such.

SENSEX closed at 19861 down by 80 points and NIFTY closed at 5959 down by 31 points from its previous close. CNX MIDCAP INDEX was purely down 0.01% and BSE SMALLCAP INDEX was down by 0.04%. The Market breadth was negative with the advances of 543 against the declines of 730 on the NATIONAL STOCK EXCHANGE.

Today’s top NIFTY gainers are HINDUSTAN UNILEVER LTD, JP ASSOCIATES LTD and MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA LTD and losers are Unitech Ltd, Reliance Capital and ICICI Bank.

Today’s top SENSEX gainers are REI AGRO, PTC INDIA and LUPIN LTD and losers are Mundra Port & Speciality, India Bulls Real Estate and HDIL.
