SUMMARY OF TODAY’S TRADING (31/08/2010)

There is an impression that our market is in clear downtrend for the time being. This has happened because of the strong sell-off took place in the Global Markets. The major concern is that our markets are breached the important support level due to the profit booking in the few sectors like REALTY, IT, METALS and AUTO at the closing hour. However, it has recovered very slightly to retain its significant support level by the buying interest shown after market hours. Now NIFTY is to close above 5400 mark once again in recent times. It is really a consolation for the traders.

Also we may expect to see some more correction to take place in our market tomorrow. We must take utmost care before going LONG as market looks very weak.

SENSEX closed at 17971 down by 60 points and NIFTY closed at 5402 down by 13 points from its previous close. CNX MIDCAP INDEX was down by 0.70% and BSE SMALLCAP INDEX was down by 0.90%. The Market breadth was negative with the advances of 341 against the declines of 955 on the NATIONAL STOCK EXCHANGE.

Today’s top NIFTY gainers are MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA, AMBUJA CEMENTS LTD and ITC and losers are J P Associates Ltd., R Com and RIL.

Today’s top SENSEX gainers are ADANI ENTERPRISES LTD, MARICO LTD and COLGATE PALMOLIVE and losers are EIH Ltd, Jet Airways Ltd and REI Agro Ltd.

SUMMARY OF TODAY’S TRADING (29/08/2010)

This was a bad week for our markets following the worst Global cues on Friday. We were to see some recovery during the F&O expiry day but in the last day of transaction had a bad hit by the European Markets forcing our markets to close in the Red and at the same time all the European Markets have recovered and got closed well ahead in the green than us. That makes our hopes alive in the forthcoming week as our markets are already looking strong to go past the global markets.

Overall market history for this week is as follows:

Sensex was down by 2.30% and Nifty was also down by 2.50%, CNX MIDCAP INDEX was down by 2.50% and BSE SMALLCAP INDEX was down by 2.60%. Every Sector has registered its lowest rate of percentage in this week.

More importantly, NIFTY was able to close above the 5400 mark but SENSEX had failed to close above 18000 mark. It is really a worrying factor. But we can expect our market back on track to rock again on Monday (30/08/2010) as the EUROPE and US MARKETS have closed in the green with a high note.

SENSEX closed at 17998 down by 227 points and NIFTY closed at 5409 down by 69 points from its previous close. CNX MIDCAP INDEX was down by 0.80% and BSE SMALLCAP INDEX was down by 1.30%. The Market breadth was negative with the advances of 305 against the declines of 990 on the NATIONAL STOCK EXCHANGE.

Today’s top NIFTY gainers are GAIL, ONGC and TATA STEEL LTD and losers are DLF, Axis Bank and Hero Honda Ltd.

Today’s top SENSEX gainers are ISPAT INDSUTRIES LTD, CUMMINS INDIA LTD and ONGC and losers are Lupin Ltd, Jai Corp Ltd and Hindustan Copper Ltd.

SUMMARY OF TODAY’S TRADING (23/08/2010)

It is a flat close for our market following the poor performance by the Global Markets. But, it is looking nice to note that NIFTY is stayed above 5540. There was a selective stockwise upward movement seen because of the hesitation in the buying.

CAPITAL GOODS, PHARMACEUTICALS AND TELECOM SECTORS have helped our market to close flat in green. Tomorrow we may expect to see some play in the Metals as well as Infrastructure Sectors.

SENSEX closed at 18409 up by 8 points and NIFTY closed at 5543 up by 12 points from its previous close. CNX MIDCAP INDEX was up by 0.80% and BSE SMALLCAP INDEX was up by 0.90%. The Market breadth was positive with the advances of 793 against the declines of 489 on the NATIONAL STOCK EXCHANGE.

Today’s top NIFTY gainers are BPCL, JINDAL STEEL & POWER LTD and CIPLA LTD and losers are JP Associates Ltd., Reliance Infrastructure Ltd and HDFC Bank.

Today’s top SENSEX gainers are BHARAT PETROLEUM, VIDEOCON INDUSTRIES LTD and ISPAT INDSUTRIES LTD and losers are RIL, UBI and ITC Ltd.,
