SUMMARY OF TODAY’S TRADING (
Today our market has opened fine and traded within a particular range which has given a confidence that it can go higher at that point of time especially till the opening of European Markets, but ended up with a dejection in the first day of this week..
Though, European markets have opened in the green, last part of the second session of our market has created a room and started falling down and after that all the other sessions have ensured a strong selling pressure to bring the points of NIFTY and SENSEX down. This selling pressure took place in the REALTY SECTORS, TELECOMMUNICATION SECTORS, METAL SECTORS, IT SECOTORS, ENERGY SECTORS and finally in the CAPITAL GOODS.
It is also very important to note that SENSEX has settled above 18000 mark as well as NIFTY above 5450 level.
SENSEX closed at 18050 down by 116 points and NIFTY closed at 5418 down by 33 point from its previous close. CNX MIDCAP INDEX was up by 0.10% and BSE SMALLCAP INDEX down 0.30%. The Market breadth was almost negative with advances of 466 against the declines of 814 on the NATIONAL STOCK EXCHANGE.
Today’s top NIFTY gainers are POWER GRID CORPORATION, PNB AND SIEMENS and losers are Suzlan Energy Ltd., Cairn India Ltd and Cipla Ltd.,
