SUMMARY OF TODAY’S TRADING (
Today our market has traded in a very narrow range and it did not find any direction after a weak opening of Europe Market before that ours was a nice gap up opening following the support of Global Market cues. Traders have shown the buying interest in the Automobiles, Oil & Gas and Metals Sectors and there was a selling pressure seen in the sector of IT and Cement.
As we have already emphasized, we can expect for some rally in the market if NIFTY crosses 5450 upto 5500 because 5450 is a crucial point of resistance.
Sensex closed at 18114, up by 33 points and Nifty at 5439, up by 7 points from the previous close. CNX MIDCAP INDEX was up by 0.30% and BSE SMALLCAP INDEX was down by 0.40%. The market breadth was positive with advances of 687 against declines of 591 on the NSE.
Today’s top NIFTY gainers are BHARTI AIRTEL LTD, KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK and ICICI BANK and losers are ITC, Reliance Communication Ltd and Reliance Power Ltd.
Today’s top SENSEX gainers are PETRONET LNG, JAI CORP LTD and SUN TV NETWORK LTD and losers are ITC, REI Agro Ltd and Punjlloyd Ltd.
