SUMMARY OF TODAY’S TRADING (
Today we have witnessed almost all the actions of quite bullish, little bearish and also high level volatility in the last day of this week. Moreover, this week was really an interesting week for our market because of the good First Quarter Results released by SBI and TATA MOTORS and also Global Markets have extended its support to our market at some point of time during the week to keep the momentum going up. As such, World Markets are functioning without a clear direction so that there is a narrow range and its band level has also comedown.
This week's overall performance was measured and recorded as 0.25% up in the SENSEX as well as 0.25% up in the NIFTY. CNX MIDCAP INDEX was up by 1.70%, BSE SMALLCAP INDEX was up by 1.30% over this week.
Sensex closed at 18167 up by 93 points and NIFTY at 5452 up by 35 points from the previous close. CNX MIDCAP INDEX was up by 1.21% and BSE SMALLCAP INDEX was up by 0.70%. The market breadth was positive with the advances of 716 against the declines of 569 on the NSE.
