SUMMARY OF TODAY’S TRADING

It was really a quiet and calm day for our markets after a huge rally taken place yesterday and in the end it has closed so flat with green points in the SENSEX. Markets did not get any support from the IT Sectors and SMALLCAP. But there was a very big rally in the Banking Sectors and Retailing. Also Auto Sectors and Pharmaceutical Sectors have indistinctly performing to withdraw its support to full the market down, otherwise we would have seen a second straight day in the market to register the maximum high.
Sensex closed at 17941, up by 5 points and Nifty at 5366, down by 2 points from its previous close. CNX MIDCAP was up by 0.50% and BSE SMALLCAP INDEX was also up by 0.50%. The market breadth was positive with advances at 730 against declines of 553 on the NSE.
Today’s top NIFTY gainers are RELIANCE POWER, RCOM and SUZLON ENERGY and losers are HCL Technologies, Cipla and Mahindra & Mahindra.
Today’s top SENSEX gainers are INDIAN OVERSEAS BANK, ALLAHABAD BANK, and GREAT EASTERN and losers are Bharat Electronics Ltd., HCL Technologies and Bajaj Auto Ltd.,
