SUMMARY OF TODAY’S TRADING (
Today our market has failed to perform well during F&O expiry of July. There was a hope to surpass 18000 mark but it was managed to close well below to that. Analysts expect to see the sideways movement or down trend in the near term. If down trend starts then it may go down upto 5100 mark in the NIFTY. It is better to be very cautious in going long position hereafter otherwise NIFTY has to cross 5450 to see some upward movement in the market. Moreover, today Banking, Realty, FMCG and Capital Goods saved our market to close atleast in the green.
Sensex closed at 17992, up by 34 points and Nifty at 5408, up by 11 points from the previous close. CNX MIDCAP INDEX was up by 0.20% and BSE SMALLCAP INDEX was down by 0.10%. The market breadth was purely negative with advances of 588 against declines of 681 on the NSE.
Today’s top Nifty gainers are IDFC, HDFC and ICICI BANK and losers are Suzlon Energy Ltd. Rcom and Sun Pharmaceuticals Ltd.
