SUMMARY OF TODAY’S TRADING (
It was really a good and cheerful week for the Traders and Investors of Indian market. Though it was good to watch, there was some kind of sluggish movements prevailed for two to three days. Global Markets extended its hand to our market to reach the maximum and important level and to maintain the same nearly 5350. This week's overall performance was really looking good and also a good sign for the next week.
Sensex up by 2.19% and Nifty was also up by 2.20%. CNX MIDCAP INDEX was up by 2.49%, BSE SMALLCAP INDEX was up by 1.90% over the last week. BSE REALTY INDEX up by 3.80%, BSE CONSUMER AND DURABLES INDEX was up by 5.20%, BSE METAL INDEX was up by 3.29%, BSE BANKEX INDEX was up by 3.80% and BSE OIL AND GAS INDEX down by 1.00%.
Sensex shut shop at 17834, up by 182 points and Nifty at 5345, up by 48 points from its previous close.
CNX Midcap index was down 0.70% and BSE SMALLCAP INDEX was down by 0.40%. The market breadth was positive with advances at 754 against declines of 525 on the NSE.
Today’s top Nifty gainers were IDEA CELLULAR LTD, BHARTI AIRTEL LTD & REI AGRO LTD and losers were Container Corportion Ltd., Nestle India Ltd., & Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.,
