SUMMARY OF TODAY’S TRADING (24/09/2010)
This week’s overall performance is really very good to note despite two days continuous negative closing. This is mainly because of the strong buying initiated by the FIIs that took place in the FMCG, Realty, Auto, Financials and Telecom Sectors. The data which are coming in about US markets are also looking good and supportive for all other world markets.
SENSEX closed at 20045 up by 184 points and NIFTY closed at 6018 up by 58 points from its previous close. CNX MIDCAP INDEX was purely up by 1.00% and BSE SMALLCAP INDEX was up by 1.10%. The Market breadth was positive with the advances of 895 against the declines of 392 on the NATIONAL STOCK EXCHANGE.
Today’s top NIFTY gainers are DLF, IDFC and HINDUSTAN UNILEVER LTD and losers are Jindal Steel & Power, Sterlite Industries Ltd and Tata Motors Ltd.
Today’s top SENSEX gainers are IDFC, DLF LTD and FEDERAL BANK LTD and losers are Financial Technologies, Tech Mahindra Ltd and Ispat Industries Ltd.
