SUMMARY OF TODAY’S TRADING (16/09/2010)
Today we have witnessed a high level volatility because of a profit booking taken place in the Metals, Telecoms and IT Sectors. This has happened after a strong continuous upward movements for last eight days in the market.
Most important happenings in the market is that NIFTY has touched the significant figure of 5900 but failed to trade above to that because of RIL has started coming down.
Tomorrow we may expect for some more corrections in the market as Global Markets are trying to under perform. So fresh long positions should be meticulously initiated or wait for deep corrections to re-enter.
SENSEX closed at 19417 down by 84 points and NIFTY closed at 5828 down by 32 points from its previous close. CNX MIDCAP INDEX was down by 1.19% and BSE SMALLCAP INDEX was down by 0.39%. The Market breadth was looking negative with the advances of 351 against the declines of 935 on the NATIONAL STOCK EXCHANGE.
Today’s top NIFTY gainers are SUZLON ENERGY LTD, DLF and MARUTI SUZUKI LTD and losers Infosys Ltd, Sterlite Industries Ltd and R Com Ltd.
Today’s top SENSEX gainers are ALSTOM PROJECTS LTD, GODREJ CONSUMER PRODUCTS LTD and SUZLON ENERGY LTD and losers are Exide Industries Ltd, Pantaloon Retail Ltd and Jubilant Organosys Ltd.
