SUMMARY OF TODAY’S TRADING (17/09/2010)
This week is really an important week for our markets especially the last day trading is highly significant as NIFTY has crossed 5900 mark almost after 3 years. This has become possible mainly because of BANKING, METALS , AUTO and IT SECTORS.
In the coming days we may expect to see a big rally in the IT Sectors as Asian Markets, EEC Markets finally US Markets closed positively. If anyone wants to go long, then they may choose IT. In terms of Realty, it has not performed that much and it is waiting to take the momentum up and hence we can also choose REALTY Sectors as well as PHARMACEUTICALS.
SENSEX closed at 19614 up by 197 points and NIFTY closed at 5894 up by 65 points from its previous close. CNX MIDCAP INDEX was up by 1.48% and BSE SMALLCAP INDEX was up by 0.98%. The Market breadth was looking positive with the advances of 895 against the declines of 392 on the NATIONAL STOCK EXCHANGE.
Today’s top NIFTY gainers are RCOM, RANBAXY and AMBUJA CEMENTS and losers Wipro Ltd., HDFC and NTPC.
Today’s top SENSEX gainers are ISPAT INDUSTRIES LTD, GODREJ CONSUMER PRODUCTS LTD and EVEREST KANTO CYLINDERS LTD and losers are Apollo Hospitals Ltd, Shriram Trans and Fin. Ltd and BOB.
