SUMMARY OF TODAY’S TRADING (15/10/2010)
Our markets closed in the red after seen a very strong selling pressure almost in all the sectors especially Scrips of IT Sectors were looking very weak today. Markets were looking to be in the consolidation as per experts. Overall, there was no support from the Global Markets otherwise the percentage of consolidation might be much lower than we witnessed yesterday.
SENSEX closed at 20125 down by 372 points and NIFTY closed at 6062 down by 114 points from its previous close. CNX MIDCAP INDEX was down 1.51% and BSE SMALLCAP INDEX was down by 0.8%. The Market breadth was negative with the advances of 297 points against the declines of 1010 points on the NATIONAL STOCK EXCHANGE.
Today’s top NSE gainers are NTPC, CAIRN ENERGY and Dr. REDDYS’S LABORATORY and losers are Infosys, Wipro and Tata Steel Ltd.,
Today’s top BSE gainers are Rashtriya Chemicals, Areva and T&D India and VIJAYA BANK and losers are Castrol India Ltd, LiIC Housing Finance and IVRCL Infrastructure.
