SUMMARY OF TODAY’S TRADING (04/10/2010)
We have witnessed only a flat close in green that too happened after market hours today. But there was a strong buying seen in the METALS and BANKING STOCKS apart from that most of the sectors faced a profit bookings. As there is an impression that Banking Stocks have already gone very high, better we may avoid buying the banking stocks because if it takes a U-Turn, it may loose more than 40% from its present gains.
SENSEX closed at 20475 up by 30 points and NIFTY closed at 6159 up by 16 points from its previous close. CNX MIDCAP INDEX was up by 0.60% and BSE SMALLCAP INDEX was up by 0.30%. The Market breadth was negative with the advances of 583 points against the declines of 688 points on the NATIONAL STOCK EXCHANGE.
Today’s top NIFTY gainers are SUZLON, VIP INDUSTRIES and TATA MOTORS and losers are Hero Honda, Cairn Energy and ITC.
Today’s top SENSEX gainers are BHUSAN STEEL LTD, UCO BANK and IFCI LTD and losers are Pipavav Shipyard, Jubilant Life Science and Bajaj Finserv Ltd.
